The Break Up

I liked a lot of things about this- the depth and realism, and the open ending- but the tone was muddled. In the full theater I saw it in, there were a number of chuckles, but no real laughter.

Premise, Casting

With Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston, the movie needed to be funnier, more on the romantic-comedy side of drama. Or, in keeping the story as is, the producers needed to find actors whose reputations were not based in comedy.
