I almost feel bad for this movie as it started with an intriguing idea and then went Hollywood instead of sticking to its kernel.
Structure / Plot / Premise
What bugged was the end-of-life and aliens angle. It just felt like way too much, like it went way too far from the simple idea of a girl who, 50 years ago, wrote a code prediciting future disasters. Yes, good stories should up the stakes, but this felt like a turn in another direction. I won’t bother with suggestions as to where the story could have gone…not in the mood to waste more time on this flick.
