Death Race

I won’t argue against a movie reaching low and being what it is, but why couldn’t it respect the basics? Even movies like this can do relatively well and leave the audience pumped.

Sexy women were added as guides to boost ratings, even though they’re in the cars 99% of the time and there were no cameras peeking into the cars. And the women’s prison sure was flexible in its dress code.

The story hinged on Frankenstein’s identity being concealed by the mask, yet it made no sense for the cameras not to look into the cars the way they do in the real-world’s races. Would the answer have been for Frank to wear a mask that offers some view?

After the escape, Frank’s girl (dressed as Frankenstein) should’ve been shot by the police when she gave herself up. After all, the warden could’ve found another driver to put on the mask. And even if you accepted her being apprehended, the warden definitely should’ve had her killed once the warden learned it wasn’t Frank under the mask.

The bomb in the gift box. As if the mail wasn’t screened. The simpler thing would have been for Frank’s crew to place it near the warden’s area at the end of the escape sequence.

These are just some of my thoughts…I’m not going to bother to delve deeply into this.
